Sexual addiction is sexual behaviors as a conditional pattern of avoiding, escaping, medicating and running from pain. Instead of recognizing that a problem exists, the addict will turn to the illusionary world of sex and fantasy. Escaping the real world brings relief, but eventually leads to addictive behavior. Many sex addicts marry with the belief that marriage will solve their problem; however, this is not the case. He fears that telling his wife about the problem out of fear that she would abandon him. He tries to stop on his own and refuses to seek help. It doesn't take long before his wife discovers his secret and his world comes crashing down. At this point, he is ready to get help. That is the purpose of this website...to direct people to the place where they can get the help they desperately need.
